This is a great book - I feel it helps to bridge the gap between theory
and practice. It is a really easy read with lots of interesting facts;
and places Graphic Design within the social and economic contexts of the
time, to show connections across the world. This is the best book I
have read so far in this subject area, with a very clear chronological
order to aid understanding and I have already been recommending this
book to individual students to help them understand the reasons of why,
how, when in order to help them in their practical work.
